Adding and Setting Up Your Reveal Diamond Detector 3S & 2S with MyReveal App

1. Downloading the MyReveal App

To begin, download the myReveal App to your smartphone or tablet.

• Search for "JTR MyReveal" in the Google Play Store or App Store.
• Alternatively, scan the QR code provided in the Reveal 2S guide to quickly access the app.

2. Navigating the MyReveal App

After downloading the app, you will receive a notification requesting location permission. Please allow it. Then, if you have already created an account, enter your login details to sign in. If you haven't created an account yet, you can check the Creating an Account in the MyReveal App document for guidance.

After logging in, you’ll see three main tabs at the bottom of the screen:

• Home: A central control panel showing added devices and quick access options.
• Devices: Displays all Reveal devices and allows you to add or manage them.
• Profile: Contains account details and logout options.

If this is your first Reveal Diamond Detector or you don't have access to any Reveal Devices. You'll be welcomed with add device screen. To add a new device, tap the large “+” icon on the Home screen.

3. Preparing Your Reveal 2S for Setup

Before connecting, ensure your Reveal device is powered on and in Direct Connection Mode.

1. Plug the provided USB Type-C cable into the Reveal device and connect it to the adapter.
2. Plug the adapter into a power outlet.
3. Press the power button once it lights up red. It will turn green, indicating the device is powered on.
4. Wait for the Wi-Fi button to blink blue.
5. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button for six seconds to enter Direct Connection Mode. The button will blink blue with a slow glow effect, signaling it’s ready for setup.

4. Adding Your Device to the MyReveal App

For iOS Users

1. Open the Wi-Fi settings on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Look for a network starting with "JTR_RDD" (matching your device serial number).
3. Connect to this network (no password required).
4. Return to the myReveal App, tap the "+" button, and follow the on-screen steps.

For Android Users

1. Tap the "+" button or select Add New Device in the Devices tab.
2. Ensure your Reveal 2S is in Direct Connection Mode.
3. The app will scan for nearby devices. Approve any location service permissions if prompted.
4. Make sure that the location information is turned on on your Android device. To do this, go to the Settings menu and check the Location option or enable location services from the quick settings panel.
5. Select your device from the list and confirm the connection.

5. Setting Up the Device

Login Screen

The default username and password are auto-filled for you convenience. Click Confirm and tap Next.

General Settings

1. Assign a custom name to your device for easier identification.
2. Click Next

6. Wireless Network Settings

1. Make sure your Reveal is close to the access point or router you are planning to connect
2. Select a network from the list of nearby networks and enter the password.
3. If the desired network is not listed, manually add it by entering the name and password.
4. When you are ready click Save Settings & Restart

Your REVEAL will restart and connect to your saved networks in priority order. This takes about a minute, so allow it time to complete. During this process, the myREVEAL app disconnects from your REVEAL, rejoins your network, and shares the activation details with my.jtr. Within about 30 seconds, your REVEAL will appear in the myREVEAL app, registered under your account. Your warranty starts automatically at that moment.
