REVEAL 360° Base: Setup and Use with the REVEAL Diamond Detector 2S & 3S

Introduction

Fully diamond-covered wedding bands, tennis bracelets, and bangles cannot be accurately evaluated through surface-level analysis alone. This guide walks through installing the REVEAL 360° Base on a REVEAL Diamond Detector 2S or REVEAL Diamond Detector 3S, fitting the jewellery holders and trays, and the precautions that keep every scan aligned and accurate. The 360° Base uses the universal REVEAL Accessory Plate, so the same base and the same installation steps below work with either model. Where this guide says "your REVEAL," it means whichever model you own.

Why a rotating base

The REVEAL 360° Base enables precise rotation of complex jewellery pieces without removing them from your REVEAL. Turn the rotation knob on the side panel to reposition the piece and examine each surface in turn, with degree markings that show exactly how far the piece has moved so no area is scanned twice or missed.

It also streamlines multi-piece work. Analyse several rings, bracelets, or bangles at the same time, with the 360° Alignment Rings blocking unwanted light penetration to improve accuracy and helping you quickly identify suspicious stones after the scan. Whether you are screening a single piece or a full collection, the result is the same: accurate readings and perfect alignment every time.

What's in the box

• REVEAL 360° Base: the rotating platform itself.
• Accessory connection plate: mounts to the underside of your REVEAL 2S or REVEAL 3S, with a magnetic cover.
• 360° detachable drawer: replaces the standard analysis drawer for positioning and alignment.
• Jewellery holders: RH-20 and RH-25 ring holders; BH-55 and BH-65 bracelet and cuff holders.
• Analysis trays: jewellery tray and stone tray.
• Alignment rings: AR-20 and AR-25 (four of each), AR-55 and AR-65 (two of each).
• 1.5 mm Allen key and five M2x8 spare screws.

Before you start: Check that all parts are complete and undamaged, and disconnect the power supply before installation. When your REVEAL's bottom cover is off, do not touch any internal components, by hand or with tools.

Installation in eight steps

1. Gently remove the analysis drawer attached to your REVEAL.
2. Using the 1.5 mm Allen key, carefully loosen the four screws securing the accessory cover at the bottom of the device.
3. Lift and detach the cover from the device.
4. Remove the magnetic cover on the accessory connection plate.
5. Align the connection plate with the screw holes on the bottom of your REVEAL.
6. Secure the plate using the four screws you previously removed. If your device has an additional middle screw hole, use one of the M2x8 spare screws there.
7. Carefully place your REVEAL onto the REVEAL 360° Base.
8. Slide the 360° drawer into your REVEAL. The device is now ready for analysis.

Using the jewellery holders

RH-20 and RH-25, ring holders

Ring holders can be fitted while your REVEAL is mounted on the 360° Base. Use the 360° drawer to position and align each ring.

BH-55 and BH-65, bracelet and cuff holders

These must be attached before placing your REVEAL onto the base: detach the device, install the holder, then place your REVEAL back onto the REVEAL 360° Base.

Precautions during use

• Always remove the 360° drawer before detaching your REVEAL from the base. Skipping this step can cause mechanical damage or alignment issues.
• Remove all jewellery holders before using the analysis trays. Trays cannot be properly positioned while holders are attached.
• Use the rotation knob on the side of the 360° Base to precisely adjust the orientation of the jewellery.
