Does REVEAL Diamond Detector Require a Subscription?

No Subscriptions. Ever.

REVEAL 2S and REVEAL 3S are built to work fully, for the life of the device, with no subscription. There is no recurring fee to screen diamonds, run auto-detection on the REVEAL 3S, or use the core features of the myREVEAL app and my.jtr.org portal. You pay once for the device, and screening itself is never metered, gated, or billed per test.

This applies to every REVEAL owner, whether you use the device daily in a retail setting or occasionally for loose stone verification.

It is also not how most of the diamond screening device market works. Some of the best-known names in diamond detection require an active, ongoing subscription just to power on and operate the hardware you already paid for, turning a one-time equipment purchase into a recurring cost with no option to opt out. REVEAL was built on the opposite premise: you own the device, so the device works, full stop.

What Comes Complimentary With Every Device

Each REVEAL device includes, complimentary, for the life of the device:

• Lifetime software updates
• 50 saved analyses of storage space on the my.jtr cloud
• One user seat per device, so one team member can log in and operate it

For most single-operator setups, this is enough to run the device indefinitely without ever touching a subscription.

What Is Available on a Subscription Basis

Only a few things scale with a paid subscription: cloud storage, user seats, and additional my.jtr features. As your business grows, so does the value of keeping a longer analysis history and giving more team members their own access. Additional storage on my.jtr.org means every past screening result stays available for reference, audits, or customer questions well beyond the complimentary 50 analyses. Additional user seats mean more than one team member can log in and operate the same device under its own account, which matters for busier retail counters, multi-shift operations, or teams that want individual accountability on every scan. Both are optional, and neither is required to get full use of your REVEAL device.

Everything else, including the screening engine, auto-detection, and lifetime software updates, is complimentary with the device itself.

As myJTR Portal (my.jtr.org) continues to add new productivity features over time, some of those specific features may be limited to certain subscription tiers going forward. Core screening on your REVEAL device will never require a subscription.
