Shipping Policy

Where we ship

We fulfill orders from three points of origin to keep delivery fast and, for most customers, free of import duties:

• European Union · shipped from our EU inventory partner in Belgium.
• United States · shipped from our New York facility.
• Türkiye · shipped from origin.
• Rest of world · shipped from the nearest available facility, cleared as an international import (see Customs and import duties below).

Order processing

Orders are prepared within 1 to 2 business days of payment confirmation. You'll receive a tracking number by email once your order ships. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays are processed the next business day.

Shipping methods and cost

All shipments are fully insured and require a signature on delivery given the value of the equipment. We ship via FedEx and DHL Express.

• Standard shipping cost is calculated at checkout based on destination and order weight.

Duty-free destinations

Orders shipped within the European Union, within the United States, or within Türkiye are domestic or intra-union movements. No import duties apply, and the price you see at checkout is the price you pay for the goods.

Note: “European” is not the same as “EU.” The United Kingdom and Switzerland sit outside the EU customs union, so orders to those destinations are treated as international imports (below).

Customs and import duties (international orders)

Orders shipped to destinations outside the EU, the United States, and Türkiye are sent on Delivered At Place (DAP) terms. This means we deliver the goods to your destination, but you are the importer of record.

Such orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees set by the destination country's customs authority. These charges:

• are not included in your order total,
• are the responsibility of the recipient, and
• are typically payable to the carrier or customs on delivery.

Because rates depend on your country's tariff schedule and the product's classification, we can't quote them in advance. Your local customs authority or courier can confirm what will apply. Customs processing may also affect delivery times.

At checkout, orders to these destinations will display this notice and ask you to acknowledge it before payment.

Taxes

Import duties are separate from sales tax and VAT:

• United States · applicable state sales tax is calculated at checkout.
• European Union · prices are shown inclusive of applicable VAT for EU destinations.
• Other destinations · any VAT or local tax owed on import is handled as part of customs clearance and is the recipient's responsibility, as described above.

Delivery times

Estimated transit time is shown at checkout and depends on destination and shipping method. International deliveries may take longer if held for customs inspection or clearance. This is outside our control and does not indicate a problem with your order.

Tracking

A tracking link is emailed when your order ships. You can also view order status anytime in your myJTR account.

Delivery address

Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. We can't reroute a package once it has shipped, and we aren't responsible for delays or losses caused by an incorrect or incomplete address. If a package is returned to us as undeliverable, we'll contact you to arrange reshipment; return and reshipment costs may apply.

Damaged or lost shipments

All shipments are insured. If your order arrives damaged, or tracking indicates a problem, contact us at jtr.nyc@jtr.org within 7 days of the delivery date with your order number and photos of any damage, and we'll make it right.
